Russell Brand (born 1975) and Katy Perry (born 1984) married in a Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India, in October 2010. Brand filed for divorce in December 2011, citing "irreconcilable difficulties"; the divorce was finalised in July 2012. Brand later said "I don't want anything to hurt her. She's younger than me, she's a young woman and she's beautiful and she's sensitive and I care about her deeply."
